Catherine's Summer Journal

Just like the character's in Walk Two Moons I asked our 10-year-old intern, Catherine, to reflect on her summer expoits and share what she was most looking forward to helping us with this coming year.

ASC: What fun theater things did you do this past summer?

Catherine: One fun thing I did this summer was I went to a camp called Lookingglass Lab. It was at Lookingglass Theater. It was a camp where you write your own show based on a one word theme and then you perform it. Our one word theme was “Immigration” and our show was called Breaking Borders. Another fun thing I did this summer was a camp at a place called Actors Studio. It was an On-camera/Monologue Camp. I also did one more camp called Summergglass. It was also at Lookingglass. It’s a camp where you perform a show and you incorporate things like Stage combat, Circus skills and Puppetry.

ASC: What are you looking forward to doing this year at ASC?

Catherine: One thing I am looking forward to is helping out with the productions; doing things like creating the lobby display and making the art for the lobby display. I am also looking forward to helping out with the Opening Weekend events. And I am looking forward to seeing the shows!
